About
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor security tools to detect anomalous or malicious activity across endpoints and networks.
Perform initial triage by analyzing alerts, reviewing logs, and correlating activity to determine risk and required actions.
Assist with incident response by documenting findings, collecting evidence, and supporting containment under guidance.
Support vulnerability management lifecycle including scan review, validation, and remediation tracking with teams.
Investigate cyber risks and suspicious user activity with clear documentation and recommended actions.
Maintain and update runbooks, procedures, and documentation to support operational consistency and audit readiness.
Assist in firewall and access control processes including review, validation, and documentation.
Collaborate with infrastructure, end-user, and application teams to support patching and system hardening efforts.
Participate in on-call rotation with defined escalation and response expectations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
0–4 years of cybersecurity or IT experience (including internships, co‑ops, labs).
Understanding of core security frameworks (NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, CIA triad).
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, ports, protocols).

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The base salary range for this position is $62,500 – $100,000. This posting contains a pay range that represents the range of pay that National Fuel believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job. The specific base pay offered to a successful applicant will be based primarily on relevant professional experience. Other components that may be considered include: individual qualifications, licenses, industry‑specific experience, education, and market demands for specialized skills. The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors. Exempt positions will also be eligible for an Annual Cash Bonus Plan.
