We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and relationship-focused Assistant Director to join our leadership team.

The Assistant Director plays a critical role in supporting the daily operations of the school while helping maintain excellence in curriculum implementation, compliance, family communication, and faculty support. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing administrative responsibilities with hands-on involvement in classrooms and staff coaching.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and provide feedback on lesson plans
  • Support implementation of The Goddard School's Wonder of Learning curriculum

  • Provide coaching and mentoring to teachers
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new employees
  • Support classroom management and behavior guidance strategies
  • Help maintain positive staff morale and school culture
  • Serve as a resource for faculty throughout the day

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, or related field preferred
  • CDA or equivalent credentials considered
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an early childhood setting
  • Prior leadership, supervisory, or management experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive, professional, and team-oriented mindset
  • Familiarity with licensing regulations and quality standards preferred

What Makes This Position Unique?

  • Work alongside an experienced and highly involved leadership team
  • Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children, families, and faculty
  • Professional growth and leadership development opportunities
  • Supportive school culture focused on collaboration and excellence

If you are passionate about early childhood education, enjoy supporting teachers, and thrive in a collaborative leadership environment, we would love to hear from you.
