Position Summary: Caremark LLC, a CVS Health company, is hiring a Data Engineer in Irving, TX. The role involves analyzing data engineering problems and developing, building, and managing large‑scale data structures, pipelines, and efficient ETL workflows to support complex business applications. Responsibilities
Develop large‑scale data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, and standardize data for insights and reporting. Write ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) processes, design database systems, and create tools for real‑time and offline analytics. Collaborate with the Data Science team to transform data and integrate models into automated processes. Test, maintain, and troubleshoot data systems to ensure reliability. Utilize Hadoop architecture, HDFS, and query optimization to build efficient pipelines. Build data marts and data models to support internal customers. Integrate data from diverse sources while maintaining quality and accessibility standards. Analyze IT environments to identify critical capabilities and recommend solutions for complex business problems. Experiment with tools and advise on adopting new solutions that meet model or use‑case requirements. Qualifications
Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. One year of experience in the offered role or a related occupation. One year of experience with each of the following: XML, JSON, HTML, CSS, or JavaScript. Experience with Agile methodologies or SAFe Software Development Principles. Experience with React, jQuery, Ajax, or Bootstrap. Experience with JIRA, Rally, or Confluence. Ability to create SQL queries and procedures for data extraction. Experience writing application code and deploying to production. Experience developing backend services, performing code reviews, and collaborating on software development solutions. Solid understanding of software development best practices. Proficiency in Python, Java, or similar languages for building robust data pipelines and dynamic systems. Compensation
Pay Range: $114,379.00–$144,200.00 per year. Salary depends on experience, education, geography, and other factors. The position includes eligibility for bonus, commission, short‑term incentive, and equity awards. Benefits
