Mount Laurel Animal Hospital is seeking a skilled, motivated, and patient-focused Veterinary Technician to join our Primary Care team. This is an exciting opportunity for a technician who enjoys working in a fast-paced hospital environment as well as a high-demand mobile veterinary practice and is looking to continue growing their clinical skills in a high-level setting. At Mount Laurel Animal Hospital, our technicians play an essential role in delivering exceptional patient care. We are looking for someone who brings strong technical ability, sound judgment, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to patient safety and teamwork.
Position Overview:
This role includes, but is not limited to, obtaining medical histories, maintaining the flow of appointments throughout the day (in hospital or on the road), performing venipuncture, client education, and more. Our technicians must be able to work with cats and dogs. Applicant must be experienced, independent and organized to maintain the flow of the mobile service day‑to‑day.

A day at Mount Laurel Animal Hospital starts before you even walk through the doors. As you drive onto our beautiful working farm campus, you are greeted by some of the animals that make our hospital such a unique place to work including longhorns, emus, goats, pigs, and geese are all part of the experience. It is not your average trip into work, and that is just the beginning.
Forgot your coffee or breakfast on the way in? No problem. Our team enjoys access to a fully stocked breakfast bar along with free snacks available on site for staff, helping you start the day fueled and ready. Once your shift begins, you will step into a fast‑paced, team‑centered hospital environment where your role truly matters. A typical day may include welcoming clients and patients, assisting in outpatient appointments in a clinical setting or in clients’ homes with our mobile service. We also see patients for walk‑ins with our urgent care service and perform soft tissue surgery along with dentistry in our surgical service. Throughout the day, you will help bring calm, clarity, and compassion to clients who may be stressed, worried, or navigating complex medical information.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high‑quality nursing care to a variety of species under the supervision of veterinarians
Assist doctors in exam rooms or in client homes
Prepare vaccines and fill preventatives
Restrain for venipuncture, exams, and treatments
Express anal glands and perform nail trims
Assist with diagnostic imaging (clinical setting)
Stock and clean workspaces
Obtain patient history and enter into the electronic medical record
Practice fear‑free initiatives
Maintain clear and accurate medical documentation
Assist with inducing anesthesia and preparation of surgical sites (clinical setting)
Prepare and maintain surgical suites and equipment (clinical setting)
Educate pet owners on treatments, medications, and wellness recommendations
Monitor sedations and general anesthetic cases (clinical setting)
Accurately record patient data, monitor vitals, and administer medications
Uphold hospital standards and contribute to a positive, supportive culture
Practice Fear Free Initiatives
Skills & Qualifications:
1+ years of experience as a Veterinary Technician
CVT, RVT, or LVT (preferred)
Valid driver's license
Comfortable driving the company vehicle as far as 30 miles from the hospital
Strong technical skills, including venipuncture, anesthesia monitoring, surgical prep, and patient handling (preferred)
Excellent communication and client service skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high‑pressure environment
Strong teamwork and collaboration across departments
Practice fear‑free initiatives
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Ability to lift and carry animals or equipment weighing up to 50lbs
Capable of standing, walking, kneeling, and bending for extended periods
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking ability, and comfort working in a fast‑paced clinical environment
May be required to work evenings, weekends, or holidays depending on department needs
