ONSITE LOCATION: Phoenix, AZ REQUIRED: US Citizenship Compensation
Rate range: $40.00 - $46.80/hr with limited benefits. W2 Hourly Contract Only. Flexible schedules with every other Friday off work, if desired (9/80 schedule). Qualifications
Minimum 6 additional years drafting and design experience, including a minimum of two years design work. Current CREO experience and strong understanding of modeling and fully associative drawing creation. Skilled in creation of model-centric models and drawings utilizing Creo. Experience defining design standards and configurations. Applying Computer Aided Design methodologies, theories, and techniques. Reviewing completed engineering documents for compliance with engineering and military standards, procedures, specifications, and accuracy of calculations and dimensions. Providing expert technical consultation to the division and customer community on comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of design and drafting. Responsibilities
Develop innovative concepts that satisfy functional and operational requirements for existing product lines and new product development programs by utilizing sound design principles and practices. Prepare moderately complex design layouts, schematics or sketches (including test plans, procedures, or specifications) of component(s) or a portion of a functional system to satisfy system and integration requirements within cost and producibility constraints. Prepare drawing packages to military or equivalent ASME standards. Check completed layouts, drawings, test plans, test reports, procedures, and change history documentation (engineering change notices) for clarity, completeness, conformance to engineering, military, and industrial standards, procedures, specifications, and codes, and ensure accuracy of calculations and dimensions. Evaluate completed drawings, specifications, and procedures for producibility and viability of design, appropriateness of tolerances, fits, finishes, materials, and validate integration of equipment. Perform and document technical calculations such as design evaluations, tolerance studies, mass and section properties, static and dynamic loading. Identify assembly interference, design errors, omissions and other deficiencies, and recommend revisions and/or improvements in design. Interface with various internal customers to solve moderately complex technical problems, and may interface with external customers as well. Application
