About the Role We are looking for a self-directed Content Videographer whose portfolio demonstrates range across events, editorial, and brand storytelling. This role will partner with our in-house Creative and Marketing teams to generate footage that highlights our product and consumer experience, connects with our customer base, and elevates the Murad brand.
Our Videographer is a Social-First Creator, equally comfortable shooting on an iPhone as they are behind a camera - and they know which to reach for, when. They have a deep understanding of what stops someone from scrolling on TikTok or Instagram, and can use that to inform strategy and planning for each creative brief. Our videographer brings ideas to the table proactively and drives projects to completion, whether independently or in partnership with in-house Creative, Social, and Cross-functional teams. The role reports to X but is largely self-directed. This person works at speed; reactive, same-day production is something they’re used to, not something that stresses them out!
This position is hybrid and will be based in our El Segundo, CA headquarters on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and work remotely for the rest of the workweek, unless business needs require otherwise.
Key Responsibilities
Shoot and edit content built for TikTok and Instagram, quickly and responsively
Concept original ideas and appropriately determine which stakeholders, if any, need to collaborate or get involved on the path from ideation to post
Receive and execute on briefs as well as self-led content ideas
Strategically deliver a mix of lo-fi reactive content and more polished, cinematic edits
Collaborate with Creative, Social, and Cross-functional teams
Understand and elevate the Murad brand based on company goals and identity
Qualifications
3-5 years of professional photography and videography experience
Experience and a portfolio demonstrating range across event, editorial, and brand storytelling context
Experience in Corporate and/or Agency environments, and comfortable working with structures & processes
Fluent in Adobe Premiere Pro; CapCut or DaVinci Resolve work as well
Beauty, skincare, or lifestyle brand experience a plus
