POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior DevOps Engineer plays a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure and data platform solutions. You will collaborate closely with both technical peers and leadership to support cloud operations, automation initiatives, and data platform capabilities, including Snowflake. This role contributes to architectural decisions, actively participates in project planning, and works hands‑on with cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. The Senior DevOps Engineer will guide platform reliability, security, and performance, ensuring systems meet both current and future business needs. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design, build, and maintain AWS‑based infrastructure to support system scalability, reliability, and performance. Implement infrastructure‑as‑code and automation solutions, delivering high‑quality, secure, and maintainable configurations under the strategic guidance of leadership. Support and optimise Snowflake environments, including provisioning, integrations, and performance tuning for enterprise data workloads. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline application and data deployments, improving efficiency and release quality. Lead technical discussions, provide guidance to engineers, and promote best practices in DevOps, cloud architecture, and automation. Identify system inefficiencies, implement monitoring and automation solutions, and continuously optimise platform operations. Implement security best practices and maintain compliance with frameworks such as SOX, SOC2, or GAMP5, supporting organisational risk management. Actively participate in agile development processes using tools such as Jira, document solutions clearly, and communicate technical concepts effectively. Proactively identify infrastructure and operational risks and collaborate with stakeholders to implement mitigation strategies. COMPETENCIES & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

Business Acumen: Ability to align technical solutions with organisational strategy, mitigating risks and enhancing operational efficiency. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field (required). 7+ years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure and DevOps solutions. 3+ years of hands‑on experience with AWS environments and cloud‑native services. Cloud Platforms (AWS): Extensive experience with AWS services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, and CloudWatch. Snowflake: Experience supporting Snowflake environments, including data integration, performance optimisation, and access management. Infrastructure as Code & Automation: Proficiency with tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar. CI/CD Pipelines: Experience building and maintaining pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI. Monitoring & Observability: Experience with logging and monitoring solutions (e.g., Datadog, CloudWatch, ELK, Splunk). Agile & Work Management Tools: Familiarity with Jira and agile delivery practices. Compliance & Security: Experience working within SOX, SOC2, or GAMP5 frameworks and implementing security best practices in cloud environments.
