Caremark LLC, a CVS Health company, is hiring a Staff Data Engineer in Irving, TX. The role focuses on designing, building, and managing large‑scale data structures, pipelines, and efficient ETL workflows to support business applications. Responsibilities
Develop large‑scale data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, and standardize data for insights and reporting. Write ETL (Extract‑Transform‑Load) processes and design database systems for real‑time and offline analytics. Collaborate with the Data Science team to transform data and integrate algorithms and models into automated processes. Use Hadoop architecture, HDFS commands, and query optimization to build robust data pipelines. Build data marts and models that support Data Science and other internal customers. Integrate data from diverse sources, ensuring data quality and accessibility standards. Analyze current IT environments, assess critical capabilities, and recommend solutions. Experiment with and evaluate new tools to provide optimal solutions for models and use cases. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, or a related field. Five (5) years of experience in the role or a related occupation. At least five (5) years of experience in each of the following:
CI/CD, Jenkins, GIT, or DevOps tools Python or Node.js programming XML, JSON, HTML, CSS, or JavaScript REST, SOAP, or Web Service APIs JIRA, Rally, or Confluence Cloud technologies: Azure, AWS, or GCP Java or J2EE SQL or MySQL Software development lifecycle (SDLC) Domain support for healthcare or retail organizations Back‑end services development, code reviews, and peer collaboration Relational database concepts Software development best practices Contributions to large‑scale applications, data science, or analytics projects
Pay Range
$157,414.00 to $236,900.00 per year. Compensation may vary based on experience, education, geography, and other factors. Benefits Summary
