Are you an Electrical Engineer professional looking for an opportunity to grow? If yes, we have a great opportunity for you in Florham Park, NJ! We are seeking a skilled and hands‑on Electrical Hardware Engineer to support the design, development, validation, and lifecycle management of electronic hardware products. This role will be responsible for printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) design and layout, component selection and evaluation, compliance assessment for global certifications, prototype development, and support of manufacturing and sustaining engineering activities.
The ideal candidate will have experience with industrial communication protocols, hardware troubleshooting, and electronic product development from concept through production.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Design and develop analog and digital electronic circuits and PCBAs for industrial and embedded systems
Perform schematic capture and PCB layout using industry‑standard ECAD tools. Knowledge of Altium Designer is a plus.
Evaluate and select electronic components based on performance, availability, cost, and lifecycle considerations
Support compliance and regulatory evaluation for certifications including UL, CE, CCC and other applicable global safety and EMC standards
Build and test hardware prototypes and engineering samples
Perform PCBA assembly, soldering, rework, and debugging activities
Conduct hardware validation, troubleshooting, and root‑cause analysis
Manage end‑of‑life (EOL) component issues and identify suitable replacements or redesign strategies
Interface with manufacturing, test, quality, and supply chain teams to support product releases and sustaining activities
Create and maintain engineering documentation including schematics, BOMs, test procedures, and design reports
Support product improvement initiatives and field issue investigations

For This Role, You Will Need:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field
Experience in electronic hardware or PCBA design and schematic capture and PCB layout tools
Hands‑on experience with soldering, prototype assembly, and hardware debugging
Knowledge of component qualification and lifecycle management
Familiarity with electrical safety and EMC compliance requirements
Experience working with industrial communication protocols such as Profibus, Modbus, Ethernet IP, IO‑Link, other industrial fieldbus or serial communication interfaces, or similar
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross‑functional environment
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
3+ years of experience in electronic hardware or PCBA design
Experience designing mixed‑signal or embedded hardware systems
Familiarity with microcontrollers, power supplies, and industrial I/O circuitry
Experience working with contract manufacturers and production support
Knowledge of DFM/DFT principles
Experience with environmental and reliability testing
Familiarity with revision control and PLM systems

Our compensation philosophy is simple: We pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during the annual merit review process. The total target comp range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
