The Sustainable Steam Solutions Engineering team develops and designs highly efficient turbomachines, integrating the latest engineering sciences and digital technologies. Role Overview
The NPI Delivery Turbine Design Development Engineer within the Steam Turbine division is responsible for adapting engineering design criteria and logic into advanced software applications for customer order execution, enabling world‑class performance and reliability for steam turbines. Responsibilities
Own execution and implementation of engineering logic into existing software applications for designing steam turbines (e.g., Automated Steam Path Layout software). Drive technology and development advancements from a system, sub‑system and component perspective. Collaborate with global and cross‑functional teams of internal Steam Turbine Engineers and external stakeholders (Product Definition / Global Supply Chain) to foster mutual technical growth and delivery. Lead engineering discussions to understand design details and processes, ensuring software applications are robust and meet customer requirements. Follow rigorous NPI and software development tollgate processes from conceptual design through final validation across all Gas Power turbine configurations. Design for EHS/Safety, demonstrating safety skillsets in support of manufacturing and field activities (e.g., lifting and transportation). Apply fundamentals of Mechanical Design, including material properties, statics, strength of materials, and fluid dynamics. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university or college. Experience designing turbomachinery components. Experience developing software applications and coding languages using AI tools and technology. Proficiency in English. Legal right to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.
