About
Responsibilities
Understand and implement proven cost models on relevant captures.
Perform cross-checks for program estimates.
Develop and deploy dashboards leveraged by the team.
Develop and present results to colleagues and senior staff.
Coordinate with Engineering, Business Development, Program Finance, Estimating, Proposal Management, and ICE around model results.
Become knowledgeable and available to answer questions around cost estimates and cost drivers.
Work shoulder to shoulder with data science analysts building and enhancing tools and capabilities for efficiency and effectiveness.
Have opportunities to grow and upskill in data science disciplines and technical abilities.
Basic Qualifications
Ability to obtain Secret security clearance.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Finance, Math, Operations Research, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Highly detail-oriented with the ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
High degree of accountability with the ability to be a self‑starter.
Microsoft Office experience (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Experience with and understanding of one or more of the following: cost models, data collection, data analytics, systems engineering, finance or related areas.
Desired Skills
Active Secret security clearance desired.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or Alteryx.
Experience with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).
Technical degree with business acumen – able to interpret cost and technical data, recognize their interdependencies, and apply them in forecasting models.
Knowledge of financial systems, analysis, statistics, etc.
Experience working within the defense systems industry.
Ability to communicate technically oriented material to a broader team.
Familiarity with proposal development and the government acquisition process.
Strong team collaboration and leadership skills.
3+ years of related experience.
Security Clearance Statement This position requires a government security clearance; US citizenship is required. Clearance Level: Secret.
Work Schedule Onsite full‑time. Standard work schedule includes a 9x80 arrangement with every other Friday off.
Pay Rate Annual base salary ranges from $85,500 to $150,765 for most locations in California, Massachusetts, New York (excluding major metro areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington, and Washington DC. In major metropolitan areas the range is $98,300 to $170,315. Salary is determined by location, experience, and other factors.
