Position Reports To: Warehouses Manager

FLSA Status: Hourly

This is a permanent, full-time position that is eligible for enrollment in company benefits after 60 days and 40 hours of vacation after 90 days.

Hours-4:00pm-1:00am Monday-Saturday January-May

OPC is family owned and headquartered in the beautiful Pacific Northwest of the United States. We started over 40 years ago as a small family farm and have been blessed to grow significantly with our farm fresh quality and the care we show our customers. We currently own, or control through long-term leases, over 140,000 irrigated acres. We also now have a network of processing plants throughout Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Michigan to bring the bounty of our farms to you.

Position Purpose Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor supervises the freezer department. Duties include, but are not limited to, supervising all freezer forklift drivers, training, planning, assigning daily work schedules, addressing issues and resolving problems.

Principal Job Responsibilities
  • Serve the needs of customers and all stakeholders
  • Adhere to all Food Safety and GMP Policies
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of the department's activities.
  • Develop and maintain departmental work instructions for all tasks.
  • Establish and adjust work procedures to meet warehouse demands.
  • Interpret company policies for departmental employees and enforce safety regulations.
  • Recommend measures to improve quality of service, and increasing efficiency of departments, work crews and equipment performance.
  • Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individuals departments and serving internal customers.
  • Perform the duties of all levels of freezer forklift drivers as needed

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Broad knowledge and experience in warehouse and forklift operations
  • Above average skills in communication; employee management; attendance
  • Demonstrated ability schedule employees according to warehouse needs; supervise up to 15 employees; time management and teamwork; read, write, and effectively communicate in English
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Other: excellent customer service skills
  • Must have the ability to make recommendation to effective resolve problems or issues by using judgment that is in consistent with Company standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law.
Education and Experience:
  • Degree or equivalent experience: High School diploma or equivalent
  • Years of Experience: 1 year of supervisory experience or greater
  • Specialized training: Forklift operations
  • Other: Valid driver's license
Physical Demands of the Position:
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to resist the cold (up to -20 F), lift up to 50 lbs., stand, walk, sit, scan product in and out, wrap pallets, re stack pallets, and close attention to details.
Work Environment:
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is exposed to forklift traffic, confined spaces for forklifts and the extreme cold (up to -20 F). The noise level in the environment is from moderate to medium high. Dust level in the work environment is from low to
