We are seeking a full-time Resident Services Coordinator to support exceptional care for our residents. The ideal candidate has experience in senior living (long-term care, assisted living, or memory care) and a passion for serving older adults.
The Resident Services Coordinator provides non-medical support to Independent Living (IL) residents by assisting with move-ins, coordinating events and meetings, and arranging transportation for appointments and activities while delivering high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate resident outings, events, and programs with the Resident Services team.
- Approve and schedule resident medical transportation with drivers.
- Manage event space reservations and program equipment scheduling.
- Develop and maintain the resident events calendar; evaluate program success.
- Assist with budget planning, reporting, and resident communications.
- Order refreshments for events while accommodating dietary needs.
- Support decorating for holidays, community events, and special occasions.
- Participate in required training and professional development.
- Assist with training the Concierge team to promote service excellence.
- Maintain resident confidentiality and uphold Residents' Rights.
- Foster a positive, professional, and resident-focused environment.
- Provide backup coverage for Resident Services staff as needed.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Two (2) years of experience in hospitality, senior living, long-term care, or a related field preferred.
- Valid Virginia driver's license with an acceptable driving record required; CDL preferred.
- Experience planning, budgeting, and coordinating events for older adults.
- Strong presentation, communication, and writing skills, including creating resident communications.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard office software and equipment.
- Strong organizational, time management, multitasking, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience managing budgets, vendor relationships, procurement, and expense tracking preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Demonstrated professionalism, sound judgment, and commitment to resident safety, confidentiality, and satisfaction.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful in working with older adults and their families.
- Knowledge of facility safety procedures and resident services preferred.
