Location: Miami, FL Position Type: Contract-to-Hire Duration: July 6, 2026 – January 25, 2027 Open Positions: 1 Position Overview Our client is seeking a highly motivated Data Engineer to join a newly established Data Center of Excellence (COE) and help shape the future of enterprise data and analytics capabilities. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of modern data technologies, supporting Business Intelligence, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong experience building scalable data pipelines, integrating data platforms, and supporting analytics solutions within a Databricks and Power BI ecosystem. This role will play a key part in establishing the organization's next-generation data platform and enabling data-driven decision-making across the business. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data integration solutions. Support and enhance the organization's Business Intelligence infrastructure and reporting capabilities. Build and optimize data solutions within Databricks and Power BI environments. Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analytics teams, and business stakeholders to support AI and Machine Learning initiatives. Develop data models, ETL/ELT processes, and data transformation frameworks. Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and governance across enterprise data assets. Support the design and implementation of modern cloud-based data architectures. Optimize data performance, scalability, and reliability for reporting and advanced analytics use cases. Participate in the development and growth of the organization's Data Center of Excellence (COE). Identify opportunities to improve data engineering processes, automation, and operational efficiency. Required Skills & Experience Data Engineering Strong experience designing and developing data pipelines. Experience with ETL/ELT development and data integration. Data modeling and data warehousing concepts. Experience supporting enterprise analytics and reporting environments. Analytics & BI Power BI Data Visualization and Reporting Business Intelligence Solutions KPI and Metrics Development Modern Data Platforms Databricks Cloud-based Data Platforms Data Lake and Data Warehouse Architectures AI & Machine Learning Support Experience supporting Data Science, AI, and Machine Learning initiatives. Understanding of data preparation and feature engineering concepts. Ability to collaborate with Data Scientists and Analytics teams. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a Data Center of Excellence (COE) environment. Exposure to modern cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud. Experience with big data technologies and large-scale data processing. Knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworks. Experience supporting advanced analytics and predictive modeling initiatives. Ideal Candidate Profile Passionate about modern data technologies and innovation. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Excited about helping build a new enterprise data capability from the ground up.
