Job Description While these are not an exhaustive list of what you will be doing, here are some of the highlights:
Work individually, and as part of diverse team, to help secure long‑term maintenance agreements and repair orders for elevator and escalator equipment in an assigned territory
Create targeted sales plans that identify opportunities within your customer base and put together action plans to develop a pipeline of potential sales results.
Meet or exceeded budgeted and assigned sales objectives and customer satisfaction targets
Be effective at overcoming customer objections and develop long‑term relationships with key players in your area of responsibility
Gain technical knowledge of your products and services through classroom or self‑taught methods to become effective at explaining complex concepts to your customers in a manner they understand
Effectively negotiate minor and major sales opportunities at all levels within an organization
Develop and deliver presentations on complex offerings in settings of 1-20 people
Manage challenging situations that result in positive outcomes and becoming customers’ "go to" representative for their needs in the future
Qualifications Here are some of the characteristics of the people that have been effective in these roles:
Your background includes experience in a technical/commercial/industrial industry and has positively impacted your company’s top or bottom line.
You have excellent communication skills and high levels of self‑motivation.
You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and dig into it or do things that may be out of your comfort zone because you are a team player and will do what it takes to get it the job done.
You want to take on working with challenging customers because in the end, those are the ones that are the most fun to turn around and become long‑lasting promoters of your work.
This role is one that you see as a stepping stone for further opportunities in leadership.
While all of these are not mandatory, these qualifications are great to have:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college
3+ years of experience in sales or account management
Familiarity with Microsoft products, CRM tools, and SAP
