We are seeking a passionate Database Administrator in the United States. Ideal candidates bring expertise in Oracle Database troubleshooting, large‑scale issue analysis, Oracle Cloud, Autonomous Database, SQL performance management, partitioning, compression, Exadata, and Oracle GoldenGate. Additional skills in DevOps, PL/SQL, Python are highly valued, and we welcome professionals with proven expertise in Oracle Database, Oracle Cloud, and DevOps, including those eager to expand their skills in cloud technologies.
Responsibilities
Contribute to strategic projects outlined in our roadmap, focusing on transitioning on‑premises databases to Oracle Cloud.
Lead efforts to migrate databases to the Autonomous Database, ensuring a seamless transition for optimal performance.
Implement advanced strategies such as partitioning and advanced compression to enhance overall database efficiency and scalability.
Work collaboratively with multiple teams, actively participating in the execution of roadmap projects.
Apply hands‑on experience in Oracle Cloud and data management.
Act as a trusted technical advisor to solve complex infrastructure and DevOps challenges.
Define and develop monitoring infrastructure criteria (SLIs, SLOs).
Solve complex problems and build automation to prevent recurrence.
Participate in incident management, operational/security maintenance, software performance analysis, and system tuning.
Drive resolution of complex technical issues.
Lead projects to improve the availability, scalability, security, and efficiency of Oracle products and services.
Mentor new associates and facilitate knowledge transfer and team development.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Technology, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Software, Electronics, Operational Research, or Computer System Engineering.
Ability to work in a collaborative, cross‑functional team environment.
Strong grasp of computer science concepts.
Experience with production operations and best practices for deploying quality code in production and troubleshooting issues when they arise.
5+ years of experience in Oracle Database, Oracle Cloud, and DevOps.
2+ years of experience and working knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, PL/SQL, Perl, and/or Shell Scripting.
2+ years of experience in the development, management, and organization of GoldenGate replication.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical proposals, design specifications, architecture diagrams, and presentations.
Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Shepherd and Terraform.
Knowledge of CI/CD platforms and components such as Jenkins.
Knowledge of orchestration tools such as Ansible and Chef.
Knowledge of version control using Git.
Experience in maximum availability architecture & best practices for Oracle Database & Exadata.
Understanding of REST architecture and JSON is a plus.
Building and managing Linux OS systems with a good understanding of the Linux kernel and ability to read and understand source code.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only. US: Hiring range in USD from $31.83 to $63.65 per hour; from $66,200 to $132,400 per annum. May be eligible for equity. Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on these factors and internal peer equity.
