Job Description As part of a small team, this position is responsible for maintaining current customers and attracting new ones by focusing on the customer’s needs, showing how they can be solved by using our operator interface products. Duties include soliciting project requirements from customers, providing advice on what products will fulfill the customer’s needs, and creating and executing an overall sales strategy for each customer. Serving as the point of contact for our customers and distributors, most communication is done by phone and email.
An ideal candidate will be a self-starter, detail oriented and persistent with strong telephone sales skills for this inside sales and account management role.
Job Duties
Serve as the point of contact for customers and distributors.
Implement sales strategies/activities to meet or exceed annual sales goals and grow market share.
Assist machine builder OEMs and recommend Industrial Automation products and solutions.
Establish and maintain relationships in support of Maple Systems’ distributors.
Follow up on leads and contact prospective customers to present Maple Systems’ Industrial Automation products/solutions.
Develop and maintain technical knowledge in industrial automation and Maple Systems’ products including OITs, HMCs, PLCs, and HMIs.
Provide basic HMI application programming to assist customers and investigate and solve complex customer issues.
Maintain contact and sales information in Sales database.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree or equivalent education in a technical discipline is required; Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in a technical discipline is highly preferred.
3+ years in inside sales experience is required. Technical sales a plus.
Technical knowledge/aptitude of HMIs, PLCs, and industrial control applications is required.
Exceptional organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
Strong project management skills and attention to detail.
Excellent English communications skills (oral and written).
Excellent problem solving skills and must be a team player.
Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
