Essential Responsibilities And Duties Include
Maintain a complete understanding of warehouse operations
Responsible for building‑wide decision‑making for all 3rd shift team members, including Maintenance and Loss Prevention
Demonstrate proficiency in operating, training, and utilizing all warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks (transporters), order pickers (cherry pickers), and reach trucks
Identify and implement process improvements in a warehouse environment
Drive a culture of accountability and results through strategic deployment and effective performance management to desired outcomes
Effectively communicate and engage with all levels of the organization as well as key suppliers and customers
Provide leadership and talent management to the team by promoting team concepts, coaching, mentoring, training, individual development and creative problem solving
Assist with the development and management of department budgets by minimizing the need and use of overtime
Plan work schedules, complete daily end‑of‑shift reports and other required reports
Interview and hire qualified candidates, conduct safety and new‑hire training, promote cross training
Ensure introductory and annual performance reviews are conducted on a timely basis for department team members
Uphold high standards of housekeeping and safety in assigned departments
Perform other relevant job duties as required
Qualifications
At least 2 years of leadership and management experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or equivalent related warehouse management experience
Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively train and develop team members
Flexible schedule availability based on business needs
Skills
Strong and proven analytical, problem‑solving, interpersonal, and communication skills
Demonstrated focus on internal and external customers
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and other relevant software
Highly motivated, with a track record of achieving personal, team, and organizational goals, creating a sense of urgency and delegating appropriately
Capable of positively motivating oneself, individuals, and teams to exceed performance expectations in a complex, fast‑paced environment
Leadership style rooted in high integrity and focused on the overall mission of Imperial
Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
