Staff Data Engineer – Woonsocket, RI. Build and manage large‑scale data structures, pipelines, and ETL workflows to support business applications. Responsibilities
Develop large‑scale data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, and standardize data, generating insights and addressing reporting needs. Write ETL (Extract/Transform/Load) processes, design database systems, and develop tools for real‑time and offline analytic processing. Collaborate with Data Science team to transform data and integrate algorithms and models into automated processes. Test, maintain, and troubleshoot data systems. Leverage Hadoop architecture, HDFS commands, and query optimization for data pipeline construction. Utilize Python, Java, or similar languages to build robust data pipelines and dynamic systems. Build data marts and models to support Data Science and other internal customers. Integrate data from diverse sources and ensure adherence to data quality and accessibility standards. Analyze current IT environments to identify critical capabilities, recommend solutions to complex business problems, and experiment with new tools. Advise on new tools to provide optimal solutions that meet model/use case requirements. Qualifications
Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, or related field. Three (3) years of experience in the offered job or related occupation. CI/CD – 3 years experience. Programming in Java, Python, or R – 3 years experience. SAS or SQL programming languages – 3 years experience. Databases: Oracle, Teradata, or DB2 – 3 years experience. Hadoop architecture or HDFS commands – 3 years experience. Hadoop and Hive – 3 years experience. MySQL and Tableau – 3 years experience. Writing ETL processes – 3 years experience. Designing data models and solutions for analytical and reporting use cases – 3 years experience. Cloud components, including clustering management – 3 years experience. Designing data architectures, including data pipelines, distributed computing engines, and machine learning infrastructure design – 3 years experience. Deploying predictive models or ML systems in a cloud environment (GCP, AWS, or Amazon) – 3 years experience. Healthcare data management processes and techniques, including data standards, interoperability, and data privacy – 3 years experience. Telecommuting
Telecommuting available; multiple positions. Compensation and Benefits
Pay Range: $179,296.00 – $236,900.00 per year. Eligible for bonus, commission, short‑term incentive, and equity award program.
