Systems Administrator Associate Part Time Department: School of Professional Studies
Salary/Grade: NEX/17
Job Summary: Installs new software and infrastructure upgrades, evaluates and installs patches, monitors system performance and resolves related problems. Performs system backups and recovery. Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity.
Position will be 95% remote.
Target hiring range: $35.00 to $37.50 per hour.
Specific Responsibilities
Provides recommendations regarding infrastructure planning and budgeting.
Maintains growth statistics, space forecasts, backup systems, and infrastructure inventories.
Performs data backups and recoveries.
Monitors and maintains continuity with system licensing and maintenance agreements.
Maintains production change control schedule and participates in change control.
Performs infrastructure upgrades including planning and scheduling, testing, and coordination.
Performs infrastructure administration setup.
Coordinates infrastructure planning and management.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's or higher degree in a major such as computer science, information technology, or related; OR appropriate combination of education and experience.

Programming Languages and Frameworks: Microsoft PowerShell, PL/SQL, Shell Scripting
Certification/Licensure: Microsoft (MCSE, MCSD, MCSA), SQL Server, VMware
Compliance: HIPAA
Analytical: critical thinking, decision making, enterprise directory services, judgment, problem solving, troubleshooting, use‑case analysis
Project: organizational skills, planning
Preferred Qualifications Priority consideration to all applicants who have 1 or 2 years work experience within an information technology role.
