Experience with device, OS, or embedded system security.
Experience working in embedded or operating systems software.

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
3 years of experience working in a complex organization.
2 years of experience managing distributed teams or mentoring technical leads.
Experience in technical leadership or engineering management overseeing software, systems, or security teams.
Experience building or managing backend security services, PKI/signing infrastructure, or CI/CD automation.
Experience with low-level platform firmware (TF-A), memory-safe languages (Rust), secure bootloaders, or hardware security modules (HSMs).
Responsibilities
Manage, coach, and grow emerging technical managers overseeing security infrastructure, new security initiatives, and low-level firmware.
Oversee ARM Trusted Firmware (TF-A) execution environments and drive the architectural evolution of porting secure low-level platform code to memory-safe Rust (RF-A).
Guide the engineering roadmap for secure diagnostic tools, advanced cryptographic signing pipelines, and automated lab testing.
Collaborate directly with custom silicon design, platform security, and manufacturing teams to ensure device integrity.
Design and analyze various security systems on Pixel devices.

With technical and leadership expertise, managers oversee engineers across multiple teams and locations, manage a large product budget, and oversee the deployment of large-scale projects across multiple sites internationally.

The team shapes the future of Pixel devices and services through advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics, combining artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users worldwide.
Compensation US: $207,000 - $301,000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits.
