About
Primary Responsibilities
Modifies reports that are valuable, readable, and presentable to stakeholders
Assists in the preparation of visual reports/presentations to present analysis to management
Interprets, analyzes, and provides insights to teams and managers to determine operational impact, trends, and opportunities
Performs data analysis to help achieve data automation
Creates and maintains databases to help classify & store information
Completes day‑to‑day deliverables and ad‑hoc data reports to support business needs/projects and answer data‑related questions
Ensures compliance by performing quality data audits, mining, and management
Monitors data and analytics trends and seeks opportunities for continuous improvement
May offer guidance to junior analysts, ensuring proper training and tools are provided
Partners with the centralized Data Governance team to implement and support data governance and data quality requirements
Requirements
Master's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Statistics, or related field and two (2) years of experience in a data analytics or related role
Or, a Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Statistics, or related field and four (4) years of experience in a data analytics or related role
Preferred Skills
Experience utilizing analytical software such as Structured Query Language (SQL), Statistical Analysis System (SAS), SAS Enterprise Miner, and applicable Microsoft Office applications
Working knowledge of business intelligence software (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)
Previous experience in data analytics within the banking or financial services industry
Fraud‑prevention experience, such as evaluating transactional anomalies, customer‑behavior insights and fraud trends
Strong experience in data analysis and interpretation, including key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and business performance indicators
Demonstrated experience designing dimensional data models (Star and Snowflake schemas) with well‑structured fact and dimension tables optimized for reporting
Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau, including report development and dashboard design
Experience building and maintaining data pipelines, including data transformation and data cleansing processes
Solid understanding of source systems, data lineage, and data refresh schedules
Hands‑on experience with Python, Spark, and Snowflake
Advanced SQL and data querying skills
Ability to deploy code to production using Git and CI/CD tools

Employment Conditions This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Compensation Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point‑of‑market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.
Minimum: $79,222.55 USD Median: $100,070.00 USD Incentive Pay Plans: Not incentive eligible.

Location Riverchase Complex North Building, Hoover, Alabama. This position is currently remote but may require on‑site presence in the future. Available locations include Birmingham, AL; Atlanta, GA; and Charlotte, NC. Relocation assistance not provided.
