*Location:* Reading (full-time office or hybrid but majority office based)
*Salary:* £28,000 - £35,000 DOE

*The Role*
As a Junior Data Analyst, you'll work closely with stakeholders across the business to turn data into meaningful insights. You'll help build reports, analyse trends, improve data quality, and support projects that influence key business decisions.
This is a hands-on role with plenty of opportunities to learn from experienced colleagues and develop your technical and analytical skills.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Analyse business data to identify trends, opportunities and potential issues.
* Write and optimise SQL queries to extract and manipulate data.
* Build and maintain reports and dashboards using Power BI or similar reporting tools.
* Clean, transform and model data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
* Support business teams by answering data requests and explaining findings clearly.
* Help improve reporting processes through automation and continuous improvement.
* Work with multiple teams to understand business challenges and recommend data-driven solutions.
* Learn new tools and technologies as the data function evolves, including AI-powered analytics where appropriate.
*About You*
We're more interested in your potential than years of experience.
You'll likely have recently graduated with a degree in:
* Computer Science
* Mathematics
* Engineering
* Physics
* Data Science
* Economics
* Or another quantitative discipline
*Essential Skills*
* Strong SQL skills.
* Understanding of data modelling principles.
* Excellent analytical and logical thinking.
* Strong problem-solving ability.
* Comfortable working with large datasets.
* Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
* Eagerness to learn and develop new technical skills.
*Desirable Skills*
* Experience with Power BI, Tableau or another BI/reporting platform.
* Python.
* Knowledge of data transformation and ETL concepts.
* Experience using AI tools to improve productivity or analysis.
* Interest in automation and process improvement.
