This is an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Design Engineer with EPLAN to join a highly respected engineering business delivering specialist control system solutions for high-hazard industries including Energy, Renewables, Marine and Oil & Gas.
Whether you're an experienced Electrical Designer looking to expand your project ownership or a Controls Engineer with good panel design expertise seeking greater involvement in safety-critical applications, this role offers a varied mix of design, project delivery, testing and commissioning support within a technically challenging environment.
Electrical Design Engineer – The Role:
Produce electrical designs for control system and automation projects
Develop general arrangement drawings, electrical schematics and associated technical documentation
Create designs using both AutoCAD and EPLAN
Design control system panels, including LV and ELV power distribution systems
Develop 4-20mA loop designs for PLC integration and field instrumentation
Provide technical support to workshop, installation and commissioning teams
Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) activities and project delivery milestones
Work closely with project teams to ensure technical and commercial objectives are achieved
Assist with project planning, progress reporting and delivery management activities
Support installation and commissioning activities on customer sites when required
Maintain high standards of quality, safety and engineering best practice throughout project delivery
Electrical Design Engineer – What We're Looking For:
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A proactive approach to project delivery and technical problem-solving
EPLAN experience
Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or equivalent engineering discipline
Full UK Driving Licence
Ability to obtain Security Clearance (SC Clearance)
Strong commitment to quality, safety and project delivery
Flexible approach to supporting site and offshore travel on occasion
