Accelerated Sales Program – Account Manager
The program is designed for sales professionals outside the industry to quickly accelerate their sales career. Participants will work closely with White Cap sales leaders in a 6‑12 month program to develop the skills, customer and supplier relationships, and knowledge needed to be successful in outside sales. Responsibilities
Participate in classroom, independent study, and on‑the‑job training to learn White Cap’s business model, products, vendors, customer needs, jobsite environment, systems, competitors, pricing, sales approach, and selling skills. Prepare and execute account plans. Sell White Cap value proposition and products. Learn about making effective jobsite or office sales calls by riding along with the District Sales Manager or experienced Account Managers. Enter and process customer orders. Perform other duties as assigned. Operate a company vehicle or a personal vehicle consistently more than 80% of the average work week; a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report will be run and an acceptable MVR report is required. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field or one to two years of sales or related experience. Strong communication skills and comfortable interacting with team members. Strong self‑governance, proactive approach, personal accountability, and independence. Competitive nature with a drive to succeed. Goal‑oriented with personal accountability to deliver on metrics. Open to feedback and willing to take action to improve performance. Demonstrated ability to plan and organize daily activities. Spanish language proficiency. Compensation
The position’s targeted compensation starts at approximately $125,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable compensation based on the application commission plan. Compensation will be determined by education, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. About White Cap
