The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, English, Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Ideally 2+ years’ related work experience in communications, storytelling, or content development, ideally supporting technology, product, or delivery teams.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to simplify complex topics without losing meaning or precision.
Demonstrable experience creating visual content such as presentation decks, videos, graphics and detailed Journey maps to support messaging.
Proficiency with PowerPoint and visual storytelling tools; familiarity with design principles and layout best practices.
Expertise and fluency with the Adobe Creative Suite, especially video creation and motion design.
Experience working in highly matrixed, multi‑functional environments with diverse team members and leadership levels and integrating with UXD for cross‑collaboration.
Self‑directed, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
Detail‑oriented with a commitment to accuracy, consistency, and quality.
Demonstrated ability to adapt communication style based on audience needs and feedback.
The Team The Product Delivery team within Technology at Fidelity Philanthropic Services is responsible for enabling the delivery of high‑quality, scalable technology solutions that support our donors, clients, and business partners. We work in close partnership with strategy, engineering, and business teams to deliver outcomes that matter.
As the Communications Specialist, you will play a critical role in helping this organization stay aligned, informed, and connected—bringing clarity to complexity and helping teams see how their work contributes to broader business and philanthropic impact.
Job Responsibilities
Translate technology, product, and delivery updates into clear, concise messaging aligned to business goals and outcomes.
Develop and deliver strategic communications artifacts such as executive presentations, storytelling decks, talking points, visuals, infographics, and written summaries.
Partner closely with product leaders, technology delivery teams, and business stakeholders to understand objectives and shape clear narratives that support alignment and decision‑making.
Apply storytelling frameworks to communicate roadmaps, tradeoffs, risks, progress, and value realization in a compelling and accessible way.
Create visuals and diagrams that simplify and explain complex systems, processes, and concepts.
Support change communications related to new capabilities, processes, and delivery milestones.
Tailor messaging for diverse internal audiences, including executives, product teams, technology partners, and business stakeholders.
Ensure communications are accurate, consistent, and aligned with Fidelity brand and communication standards.
Proactively identify communication gaps and recommend solutions that improve transparency, engagement, and clarity.
Manage multiple communication initiatives simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high quality.
Continuously look for opportunities to improve communication processes, standards, and reusable assets.

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $60.00 – $85.00 per hour.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
