Position Summary
The primary function of the Outside Sales position is to be responsible for all sales activities from lead generation through close in an assigned territory. This person will develop and implement the agreed upon Company Marketing Plan, working toward customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals aligned with branch vision and values. Responsibilities
Prepare action plans by accounts and product line Effectively search and follow-through on sales leads and new customers Identify and execute up‑sell and cross‑sell opportunities Establish rapport with customers, building long‑term, repeat relationships Provide timely and accurate competitive pricing on all completed prospect applications submitted for pricing and approval Maintain accurate records of sales activity, sales, and pricing Gather competitive market and pricing information Basic Qualifications
Strong Microsoft Office skills Ability to self‑manage, as well as extensive experience in supplier relationship management Knowledge of building materials and construction industry strongly preferred Bachelor’s degree is preferred Experience with Excel preferred 3‑5 years sales experience preferred Core Competencies
