About
Support the School of Nursing in coordinating and delivering mobile-based simulation experiences and community wellness events. This part-time position is ideal for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) who is passionate about hands‑on education, preventive health, and community engagement.
The Coordinator will provide clinical and logistical support, help with event setup and simulation activities, and drive the mobile unit when necessary.
Work Hours:
10–20 hours per week, with flexible scheduling based on events (including occasional evenings or weekends).
Responsibilities
Coordinate mobile simulation experiences and community wellness events.
Provide clinical and logistical support during events.
Assist with event setup, simulation activities, and equipment setup/ take down.
Drive the mobile unit when necessary.
Liaise with students, faculty, and community partners.
Qualifications
Current and unrestricted RN license in North Carolina or Compact State License (RN or LPN).
Minimum of two years of clinical experience (community health, simulation, or education experience preferred).
Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive the mobile unit (training provided).
Strong organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
Comfortable working with diverse populations and learners in both clinical and community settings.
Able to lift up to 30 lbs and assist with equipment setup and take down.
BLS Certification (required or must be obtained within 60 days of hire).
Experience with health fairs, wellness outreach, or nursing education (preferred).
Familiarity with simulation-based learning tools and mannequins (preferred).
Flexible, team‑oriented, and committed to health equity and access.
Benefits and Other Information Recruitment Salary Range: $33 per hour.
Position is not eligible for remote or hybrid work arrangement as per university and state policies.
N. C. A&T employees are generally required to reside in North Carolina within a 2‑hour commuting distance from their assigned duty station.
