The Solutions Architect provides technical leadership across multiple development teams, designing scalable, secure, and resilient architectures that align solution direction with enterprise strategy and drive innovation within a large-scale, high-volume retail technology environment. •Design and document architectural decisions that translate functional and technical requirements into clear, maintainable solution designs. •Align solution architecture with enterprise strategy by partnering with business leaders and enterprise architects. •Drive innovation and technical direction across supported teams, advancing solutions to meet evolving business needs. •Develop and oversee a platform modernization roadmap ensuring reliability, resilience, security, and performance standards are met. •Partner with internal teams to deliver process improvements through code and third-party integrations. •Serve as subject matter expert for supported platforms, guiding solution patterns, standards, and technical decision-making. •Provide technical leadership to product owners and developers, including mentoring, code review, troubleshooting support, and SDLC oversight. •3 years of recent experience as a Solutions Architect or equivalent role, with a prior background in software development. •Strong hands-on development experience with C# and.NET, with demonstrated progression into architecture. •Proven API and integration architecture experience, including service communication patterns and API gateways. •Experience with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server or PostgreSQL. •Familiarity with cloud platforms, AWS preferred; other cloud experience considered. •Ability to operate effectively in opinionated engineering environments, including challenging technical approaches and influencing direction. •Experience designing event-driven and serverless architectures, including event buses, queues, and functions-as-a-service. •Greenfield architecture experience, designing systems from the ground up. •Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments, including CI/CD and mature SDLC practices. •Familiarity with Node.js or Python in addition to C# and.NET.
