Lead Dental Assistant – Join a Team That Makes a Difference! This position is located in Orange, Virginia Are you an experienced Dental Assistant ready to take the next step in your career? Piedmont Regional Dental Clinic is seeking a motivated and compassionate Lead Dental Assistant to provide hands-on patient care while leading and supporting our dental assisting team. In this role, you'll serve as a key member of our clinical leadership team, helping to coordinate daily operations, mentor staff, improve workflows, and ensure an exceptional experience for both patients and providers. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled dental assistant who enjoys leadership, teamwork, and making a meaningful impact on patient care. What You'll Do:
Provide chairside assistance and support high-quality patient care. Lead, coach, and mentor a team of dental assistants. Coordinate daily clinical workflows and staff assignments. Partner with providers and clinic leadership to improve efficiency and patient access. Support onboarding, training, and professional development of clinical staff. Promote a positive, collaborative, and patient-focused culture.
What We're Looking For:
Certified Dental Assistant with x-ray certification as required by Virginia regulations. Minimum of three years of dental assisting experience. Previous leadership, mentoring, or supervisory experience preferred. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Passion for teamwork, patient care, and helping others succeed.
