WELDING SUPERVISOR (Night Shift) TALLASSEE AREA Position Summary:
The Night Shift Welding Supervisor oversees all welding and fabrication activities during the overnight shift, ensuring production goals are met while maintaining strict quality and safety standards. This role leads a team of welders and fabricators, drives efficiency, and ensures smooth shift operations with minimal downtime. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate night shift welding operations across assigned production areas Lead, train, and support welders to ensure consistent workmanship and adherence to specifications Monitor workflow, production schedules, and staffing to meet nightly output targets Enforce all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements; promote a strong safety culture Inspect weld quality and ensure compliance with drawings, codes, and customer standards Troubleshoot welding issues, equipment problems, and production bottlenecks in real time Coordinate with day shift leadership for seamless shift handoffs and communication Maintain accurate production, quality, and incident reports Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or certification preferred) 3-7 years of welding/fabrication experience, with supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding processes Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Familiarity with OSHA standards and welding safety practices Work Environment: Industrial fabrication or manufacturing setting Exposure to heat, noise, fumes, and heavy equipment Night shift hours (typically 8-12 hour shifts) with occasional overtime GREAT COMPANY, STARTING SALARY (based on experience) + BENEFIT PACKAGE!
