About
Key Responsibilities The AWS Rack Power team is driving rapid innovation in the power systems used by Amazon Web Services. You will own the firmware source code for power electronics, lead the application of new technologies, and ensure reliable operation across a global fleet. Your responsibilities include designing, building, testing, debugging and sustaining firmware for new and existing products.
Specific duties:
Lead firmware development for power electronics in datacenter hardware.
Write, test, debug, and maintain firmware across global equipment.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on product development and support.
Apply best practices in coding standards, code reviews, and build processes.
Continuously improve product performance, quality, and cost.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience contributing to systems architecture and design.
2+ years of embedded C programming and firmware debugging.
2+ years of hardware interface experience, schematics reading and board bring‑up.
Experience with embedded system interfaces and protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, etc.).
3+ years of full software development life cycle experience.
Proficiency in a systems programming language (C++ or Rust).
Background in designing software for power electronic or critical systems deployed at scale.
Experience developing and testing solutions using Verilog or VHDL.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
3+ years of full software development life cycle experience.
Proficiency in C++ or Rust.
Experience with Verilog/VHDL.
Design experience for power electronic systems at scale.
Compensation & Benefits Base salary range: $143,700.00 – $194,400.00 USD annually. The overall package includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
