Required Skills
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
BA/BS from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Programming with 4 to 5 years as a network engineer within the DOD environment.
1 academic year at an accredited college or university in an accredited preferred degree related post‑secondary program for 1 year of experience. 3 additional years of experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
Monitor network engineering performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS).
Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.
Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution.
Desired Skills
Ability to obtain a secret clearance as needed.
