Facilities Supervisor - Hourly

Christ the King Parish in Seattle is seeking a Facilities Supervisor. This person ensures the facilities of our parish and school are safe and well maintained. They will manage maintenance, perform repairs, oversee vendors and facilitate construction projects as needed with leadership. This is a full-time position with benefits.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs repairs and preventive maintenance on buildings and grounds. Assures that all equipment is in proper working order.
  • Represents the parish when dealing with outside vendors and contractors on maintenance, construction and grounds.
  • Purchases supplies and equipment from vendors. Ensures the maintenance of an inventory of cleaning, supplies and equipment and reorders as appropriate.
  • Oversees cleaning of campus, which is handled by the facilities supervisor with support from a custodial service and volunteers.
  • Ensures campus is secure when not in use.
  • Assures the parish grounds are maintained in a clean and safe manner.
  • Coordinates set up for special events (e. g. chairs, tables and other event requirements). Assures necessary facilities-related support for programs and special events.
  • Available on-call for emergencies.
  • Maintains current resources and vendors to respond to emergencies.
  • Participates in staff meetings and retreats.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated history of maintenance/facilities/groundskeeping work.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both supervisor, other staff/volunteers and vendors.
