About
As a CAD Design Supervisor at nVent Management Company, you will lead our CAD team in producing precise and high-quality technical drawings, models, and documentation. Team Leadership & Coordination: Lead, mentor, and develop a world‑class team of CAD designers and drafters. Assign workloads, balance priorities, and ensure strict adherence to timelines. Technical Mentorship: Establish and implement CAD standards, templates, and guidelines. Review drawings and models for accuracy and compliance with industry standards. Workflow & Process Management: Develop and optimize CAD workflows to improve efficiency and reduce rework. Coordinate with engineering, project management, and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment on project requirements. Quality Assurance: Implement quality control procedures to ensure our outputs are flawless and align with regulatory and industry standards. Serve as the primary contact for CAD-related questions across the organization. Participate in project planning meetings to understand scope and build needs. Software Management: Manage CAD software licenses, updates, and integrations in partnership with IT. Requirements
Academic background in Engineering, Drafting, or a related field. Demonstrated background as a CAD Designer, Drafter, or in a comparable position with advancement into leadership. Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks. Strong understanding of engineering principles, drafting standards, and build documentation. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to manage numerous projects and timelines simultaneously. Benefits Overview
