Don't just learn about industry experience it. Join AIMM Services (a DBA of Consolidated Electrical Distributors (CED)) for a hands-on internship where you'll work alongside technical experts and business leaders solving real manufacturing challenges. Our Internship Program is a paid, structured 812 week* experience designed for college students pursuing Business, Engineering, or STEM-related degrees who are interested in industrial automation, manufacturing services, and customer-focused solutions. This internship provides hands-on exposure to sales, operations, and technical service solutions within the industrial automation space. Interns gain real-world experience working alongside technical specialists, sales professionals, and operations leaders while developing the business and technical skills needed to support manufacturing customers. You won't just observe you'll contribute.
Internship duration: Duration typically ranges from 8-12 weeks; however, exact timing may vary by location and business needs.
Minimum QualificationsWhat we're looking for:
- Candidates who are naturally curious about how things work both technically and commercially interested in exploring career paths in industrial automation, services, or sales leadership

- The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 full-time semesters of college credit in pursuit of a Business, Engineering, or STEM degree
- Current, valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Authorization to work in the United States (without requiring sponsorship now or in the future)
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Interest in technical sales, automation, or manufacturing industries
Working ConditionsOperate in a professional office environment, with extended periods of sitting. Routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. Visit industrial customer locations, including manufacturing facilities, water treatment plants, and theme parks. Site visits may involve physical activity, including climbing and standing for extended periods, and exposure to varying environmental conditions, including extreme heat or cold. Travel is required throughout the region to attend meetings and support customer needs.

Essential Job FunctionsWhat you'll do:
- Gain exposure to industrial reliability, safety, cybersecurity, and modernization service offerings
- Assist with customer-focused projects including business studies, assessments, and commercial positioning strategies
- Participate in customer visits across industries such as Food & Beverage, Oil & Gas, Water/Wastewater, and Manufacturing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer challenges and develop practical solutions
- Support technical and commercial initiatives that drive growth in industrial solutions
- Develop foundational knowledge of sales strategy, operations, and customer relationship management
