About
A core focus of this role is Joulz, the team’s proprietary Azure‑native, multi‑tenant field‑workforce management platform, contributing across the Flutter/Dart client, the C#/.NET 10 API, and the supporting Azure Kubernetes (AKS) infrastructure. The Engineer will play a crucial role in turning complex processes into intuitive and streamlined solutions and will explore and implement emerging technologies, including AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
Essential Functions
Collaborate with the PMO Solutions Lead to execute the PMO team’s technical vision and automation strategy.
Develop and maintain workflows and automations using Joulz, Power Automate, and other scripting or workflow tools to reduce manual, repetitive tasks.
Assist in the design and development of integrations between key business systems, including our ERP (JD Edwards E1), SharePoint, Salesforce and Project Management Tools, to ensure seamless data flow.
Build and maintain custom solutions across the Joulz platform using skills in C#, Dart/Flutter, SQL, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
Help operate and maintain the platform’s Azure and Kubernetes (AKS) infrastructure, including CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), GitOps deployments (Flux CD), and supporting Azure services (Azure SQL, Key Vault, Blob Storage); depth here is valued but not required at hire.
Use AI coding assistants (Claude or GitHub Copilot) as part of day‑to‑day development, documentation, and testing.
Support the technical needs of the GSW Project Management Operations technical team, troubleshooting issues and providing solutions to end‑users.
Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation for all developed solutions, ensuring clarity and ease of use.
Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new technologies and platforms that align with the team’s goals.
Act as a technical consultant to stakeholders, translating business pain points into formal technical requirements for new automation or application projects.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential functions of this position will be performed at a Company‑designed office or field location.
Understand and comply with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry‑specific professional and ethical standards.
ABOUT YOU Qualifications
5 years of experience identifying problems and developing & implementing automation and application solutions.
Minimum 1 year of experience working with version control (Git/GitHub) and rapid tooling (GitHub Copilot).
Minimum 5 years of direct experience developing workflows and automations with Power Automate, other iPaaS/middleware (e.g., Logic Apps, MuleSoft, Boomi), or fully custom API integrations.
Minimum 4 years of experience participating in the planning and implementation of a new enterprise software application, such as a CRM, ERP, or Project Management Software.
Minimum 2 years of experience or strong interest in AI/LLM development, including prompt engineering, working with models like GPT via APIs, or leveraging cloud‑based AI services (e.g., Azure Cognitive Services, Power Virtual Agents).
Preferred Education
Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, information systems, or related field; combination of relevant education and experience (minimum 5 years) considered in lieu of degree.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Strong Excel skills, including Power Query and advanced formulas.
Proficiency in at least one coding or scripting language such as C#, Dart, HTML, JavaScript/TypeScript, PowerShell, SQL, or VBA (C#/.NET and Dart/Flutter are the team’s primary languages).
Solid understanding of how to work with REST APIs.
Familiarity with web and application development frameworks (e.g., ASP.NET Core, Flutter).
Working familiarity with cloud and container infrastructure (Azure, Kubernetes/AKS) and CI/CD – preferred, not required.
Effective use of AI coding assistants (Claude or GitHub Copilot).
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to deconstruct complex operational processes.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively within a cross‑functional team.
WHAT WE OFFER Compensation & Benefits
Salary $110,000-$130,000 / year
Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. MYR Group reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
