About

What We Need Brady Corporation is seeking a Graphic Designer who, under general supervision, creates proofs and production artwork for custom identification products. This role serves as the face to Customer Operations and Production, taking requests for proofs and artwork and translating them into deliverables. The Graphic Designer also works on departmental projects as assigned and supports multiple value streams in operations.
What You'll Be Doing
Creates proofs and production artwork, advises on layout, typefaces, colors, and styles for custom identification products.
Works in graphics software such as Adobe Creative Cloud suite, including Illustrator and InDesign. Familiar with barcode creation and symbology.
Objectively resolves customer service inquiries effectively with limited supervision.
Quickly assesses all request issues, clarifies, and identifies the necessary information and resources to provide solutions. Provides constructive feedback.
Has strong attention to detail and ensures work meets customer, product, and industry specifications.
Supports process improvement through collaboration with peers, across departments, and leadership.
Develops and nurtures effective relationships within the team and Customer Operations in all Brady divisions.
What You Will Need To Be Successful
Associate’s Degree in graphic design or related field.
Minimum of 1 year of industry experience as a graphic designer, production artist, pre‑press printing, or equivalent job‑related experience.
Strong professional verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work with a limited degree of supervision.
Conducts problem solving in common day‑to‑day operations through root cause identification, assessment of standard operating procedure, and individual decision‑making.
Ability to identify process gaps or opportunities from incomplete information.
Applies critical thinking and analysis to gaps impacting customer and employee experience.
Effective time management and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and to make decisions independently.
Ability to work with all levels of the organization.
Ability to multi‑task.
Strong attention to detail in a highly dynamic and changing environment.
Strong presentation skills and ability to facilitate discussions in a large group setting.
Drives customer loyalty through account management, problem resolution, and professional written and verbal communication.
Ability to optimize work processes and drive departmental strategic initiatives.
