About
Preferred Qualifications An associate's degree is preferred but not required OR having credentials or specialized documented training in the field of teaching. Knowledge of principles and procedures pertaining to higher education, especially teaching methodologies. Knowledge of standard business practices and accepted protocol for areas of responsibility. Knowledge of college mission, goals and objectives and ability to relate these to areas of responsibility. Ability to supervise and coordinate the classroom and related instructional activities of students. Ability to establish good working relationships with alumni, businesses, students, faculty, and others in the college community. Ability to interpret and apply all related laws.
Additional Comments Employee will receive minimal supervision provided by the Academic Program Director in the performance of teaching and advising responsibilities. Employee is expected to demonstrate independence and discretion in teaching practice and student advising. This is an evening teaching position based at the Northeastern Technical College Cheraw Campus location in Cheraw, South Carolina. Teaching environments include classroom and lab. Local travel to businesses and community campuses may be required. Some short-term travel may be required for professional meetings. Professional development may require some overnight stays. Teaching locations include community campuses and local Chiropractic offices.
