Role Description The Information Technology Manager is a full-time, on‑site role based in Sumner, TX. This role is responsible for overseeing the company’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, end‑user devices, and business applications, to ensure stable, secure, and efficient operations. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include managing IT projects, supervising and mentoring IT staff, coordinating hardware and software installations, and maintaining cybersecurity standards and data backup procedures. The Information Technology Manager will collaborate with leadership and department managers to understand business needs, recommend technology solutions, and optimize manufacturing and office systems. The role also involves vendor management, budgeting for IT resources, documenting processes, and providing escalation support for complex technical issues.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience managing IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, and end‑user systems in a manufacturing or similar environment.
Proficiency with enterprise applications such as ERP/MRP systems, productivity suites, and related business software, with the ability to support integrations and process improvements.
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, access control, data protection, backup and recovery, and best practices in system monitoring and incident response.
Proven ability to lead and develop an IT team, manage projects, set priorities, and deliver technology initiatives on time and within budget.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills, with a service‑oriented approach to supporting internal stakeholders.
Effective communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, practical information for non‑technical team members.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft, Cisco, ITIL, or similar) are preferred.
Experience working on‑site in an industrial, manufacturing, or production environment is a plus.
