Job Description
Software Engineering Manager for Medtronic, Inc., located in Northridge, CA. The role establishes and maintains governance arrangements for the software application program to ensure successful implementation of outcomes derived through change. The manager leads and manages the Enterprise Quality Assurance solutions for the Medtronic Carelink Portfolio and collaborates closely with global Quality Engineers to manage all phases of functional and regression testing solutions. Other responsibilities include guiding the conceptualization of new methodologies, processes or products; managing Delivery of Service Providers (DOSP) including IT contractors for productivity, collaboration, voice and faxing services; working across global geographies with cross‑functional teams to produce results for Medtronic Business & IT stakeholders; applying SDLC principles (Waterfall, Jira, Agile, Scrum); leading test automation for web or service‑oriented architectures; approving final delivery of projects using QA testing, artifacts and defect management; implementing automation testing with Selenium, Cucumber, BDD, and TestNG; utilizing Git and Jenkins CI for building test pipelines; leveraging HTML and JavaScript; and responsible for AWS cloud computing services such as Scaling, Load Balancer, Glacier, VPC, Route53, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail. Responsibilities

Master’s degree in Software or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Applications or related technical field, or equivalent experience. At least two (2) years of experience as a software engineer in Digital and Cloud space or related occupation. Two (2) years of experience with each of the following: Managing service delivery. Working across global geographies and managing cross‑functional teams. SDLC including Waterfall, Jira, Agile, and Scrum. Leading test automation for implementing test frameworks on web or service‑oriented architectures. Software QA testing, test artifacts, and defects. Automation testing with Selenium, Cucumber, BDD, and TestNG. Git & Jenkins CI for building test pipelines. HTML and JavaScript. Amazon AWS, Scaling, Load Balancer, Glacier, VPC, Route53, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail.
Bachelor’s degree plus five (5) years of experience in software engineering in Digital and Cloud space or related occupation may substitute for a Master’s degree plus two (2) years of experience. Compensation
Salary: $165,000 - $175,000. Work Arrangement
Position is in a hybrid model; the employee must be onsite in Northridge, CA four days per week. Benefits
