About
THE WORK CommandIQ® is seeking a software engineer to join one of our agile development teams. In this role, you will:
Decompose higher‑level roadmap features into actionable work items
Design, implement, and integrate/test software features
Perform peer reviews for fellow software engineers and debug issues as they arise
Participate in technical discussions to define and solve overarching software architecture needs
Collaborate with cross‑functional peers to better understand project requirements, customer, and stakeholder needs
WHO WE ARE CommandIQ® is a geographically dispersed project team that executes in an agile‑scrum setting. The team readily adapts to changing priorities as new information is discovered and project milestones shift to meet stakeholder needs. Team members gain exposure to a variety of subject areas and hone technical skills across tools and frameworks while interfacing with diverse customer groups.
For this role, local candidates in Colorado Springs, CO or King of Prussia, PA are preferred. Strong candidates who match the roles and responsibilities will be considered for a fully‑remote work schedule. The weekly work schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Basic Qualifications
Frontend framework development experience using Angular, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
Experience using REST APIs and Docker
Experience with UI/UX Design & Iteration Process/Tools (Figma, MockFlow, UXPin, Axure)
Experience performing verification‑level testing on UI/UX components and applications using recognized UI/UX Test Frameworks (Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, Jest)
Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
5+ years of relevant work experience (or an advanced degree with 2 years of experience)
Desired Skills
Experience in Agile Methodologies & Tools
Experience leading software teams through technical planning activities and mentoring junior engineers
Experience in a full‑stack engineering role
Experience with container management using Kubernetes/Helm
Experience with GitLab CI/CD, gRPC, Python, or Flask
Previous IRAD experience
Active Secret Clearance
