Job Description Everforth ECS is seeking a Forescout Network Engineer to work in Quantico, VA (partial remote). This position is contingent upon additional funding. We are currently seeking a talented Forescout Network Engineer to join our team. This role will provide network engineering support and documentation to create a healthy security posture implementing Comply‑To‑Connect (C2C) protocols for the US Marine Corps. In this role, you will focus on configuration, integration, deployment, operations and maintenance in both a lab and production environments. The selected candidate must be well‑versed in architectural best practices and applying them across a breadth of technologies to solve organizational problems. You should be capable of articulating your views on the future development of technology to varying audiences, and you should understand the interaction between infrastructure and solution architecture.
Responsibilities
Meet and/or work at the customer site on Quantico.
Provide network engineering, administration, and configuration support for Comply to Connect on multiple US Marine Corps networks and classification domains.
Establish and maintain network analysis and monitoring tools including fine‑tuning, health reporting and alerting.
Make recommendations to optimize stability, availability, reliability and performance of networking infrastructure.
Contribute to maintaining the C2C ATO, including reviewing, delivering and updating A&A documentation required for the system as defined by RMF policy and MCSC RMF process guide (e.g., Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) Management, Change Management, RMF controls implemented and inherited).
Provide technical subject‑matter expertise on remediation and mitigation of all open findings from DISA STIGs.
Provide program status reports and briefings to internal management, senior leadership and government oversight officials.
Understand enterprise computing environments, distributed applications, and possess strong knowledge of TCP/IP networks, including ASA, Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco, Juniper, and Brocade switches.
Possess advanced administrator‑level understanding of operating systems (Linux, Windows, Macintosh, and UNIX) – a plus.
Have computer networking systems administrator‑level knowledge of all protocol layers.
Have strong knowledge of enterprise networking environments.
Experience installing, implementing and debugging network access control security solutions.
Understand programming languages: C, Java, and Perl.
Hands‑on position requiring multi‑tasking with a service‑oriented mentality; focus and take ownership of assignments/issues and manage/resolve them.
Work well in a team‑oriented environment and be able to self‑manage tasks to ensure success.
Communicate up and down within the organization; prepare detailed descriptions of issues, status updates, recommendations, and reports. Must be organized with an eye for detail.
Required Skills
Forescout Certified Administrator (FSCA) or Forescout Certified Engineer (FSCE).
Minimum Secret/SSBI clearance prior to start date.
US citizen per contract.
DoD 8570 IAT Level II.
4+ years experience working in a DOD environment (Contractor/Civilian/Military), preferably USMC.
Experience with Network Access Controls.
Experience with projects across development life‑cycles (analysis through implementation).
Ability to multi‑task and effectively prioritize competing requirements.
Experience in networking, telecom, application development, client/server, network and internet/web development.
Ability to apply IT industry standards to secure network environment.
Experience creating and maintaining programmatic and technical documentation to ensure efficient planning and execution; ability to manage and document system configurations.
Proficient with common desktop programs such as Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Desired Skills
Knowledge of MCEN‑N, MCEN‑S, MCCS and MCRC networks.
Bachelor’s Degree in a computer science related field.
CCNA, CCNP certifications.
TS/SCI preferred.
ITIL v3 or ITIL 4 Certification.
Experience with Windows, McAfee, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), ACAS.
