About
B.S. or B.A. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
At least 3 years of experience building processes that support data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management
At least 3 years of experience with Python for ETL scripting or similar high level programming languages preferred
Working SQL knowledge and at least 3 years of experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases
A successful history of manipulating and processing large disconnected datasets
Experience with multiple database technologies: SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, AWS (RedShift, ElasticSearch)
Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, R, Java, C++, Scala, etc.
Experience implementing and documenting data models and schema for new database structures and applications and implementing measures to ensure data accuracy and accessibility
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated understanding of technology and value to business
Exceptional problem-solving skills
Experience in object-oriented programming and SOLID principles desired.
Duties / Responsibilities
Transform data into a format that can be easily analyzed, ensuring system scalability, security, performance and reliability
High level understanding of Python is required to create, update and maintain our ETL data pipelines
Build high-performance ETL processes, algorithms, prototypes for data modeling, mining, and production
Develop data set processes for data modeling, mining and production
Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements
Integrate new data management technologies and software engineering tools into existing structures
Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability
Maintain proper documentation and adhere to change management processes as well as ongoing performance of quality assurance on all business-impacting processes.
