JR100186DDC is seeking an**Application Database Administrator (Applications DBA)** to support mission-critical Oracle financial systems and related application/database platforms in a federal environment. This role is responsible for day-to-day database administration and application environment management across production and non-production instances, ensuring systems meet security, availability, and performance requirements. The Applications DBA will support patching, upgrades, monitoring, backup/recovery, configuration management, vulnerability remediation, audit support, and disaster recovery/continuity activities. The role also supports modernization initiatives, including migration of the current application environment to AWS, and works closely with technical teams to maintain stable, secure, and well-documented environments***\*This position is contingent upon contract award.\******Responsibilities:*** Provide database administration and application management support for Oracle-based financial application environments and associated databases.* Administer Oracle database and application/mid-tier environments to ensure **security, confidentiality, integrity, and availability** (targeting **99.5%+ system availability**).* Perform **system maintenance and daily operations** across production and non-production environments (patching, upgrades, updates).* Conduct **system and performance monitoring/tuning**; respond to alerts and outages within agreed timeframes; perform root-cause analysis.* Manage **patch management, vulnerability management, and baseline configurations**; prepare corrective action plans and remediate findings from vulnerability scans.* Provide **backup/recovery** and storage management; support instance creation/modification and environment refresh activities.* Support **disaster recovery (DR)**, contingency planning, and continuity of operations, including maintaining alternate site readiness, monitoring DR synchronization, and supporting semi-annual DR testing.* Perform/assist with **configuration management** and documentation of installation/setup/processes/configurations; ensure documentation remains current.* Support **Certification & Accreditation / Authorization** activities and required documentation updates for audits and system reviews.* Support financial audits and security assessments; prepare and update required artifacts and evidence as needed.* Support migration initiatives, including **EBS/application environment migration to AWS** in coordination with government stakeholders and technical teams.* Provide expert support for virtualization environments (e.g., VMware) as needed to ensure optimal performance for Oracle applications and databases.* Provide “as-needed” Oracle database platform support per customer request.* Perform other duties as required.**Qualifications:** * **Years of Experience:** 10+ years of experience in Applications DBA / Oracle financial systems environment experience;* Senior-level experience administering **Oracle databases** and supporting Oracle application environments (production + dev/test).* Strong experience with **backup/recovery, patching, upgrades, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning** in enterprise environments.* Experience with **vulnerability remediation**, security hardening, and compliance support in regulated/federal contexts (e.g., NIST/FIPS-aligned controls).* Working knowledge of **DR/COOP planning and testing** and operating in high-availability environments.* Experience supporting or participating in **cloud migration to AWS** for Oracle application/database environments (preferred).* Strong documentation skills and ability to work effectively with application teams, infrastructure teams, and stakeholders.* **Education Level:** Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Program Management, Finance, Computer Science, or related field preferred. Master’s degree preferred. Equivalent relevant experience may be considered.* **Clearance Requirements:** Must be able to obtain and maintain SBA suitability/Public Trust, PIV access, and access to SBA systems as required.* **Certification Requirements:** No certification is specified in the PWS. Oracle DBA, AWS certifications are preferred but not mandatory.* Experience managing Oracle Federal Financials, Oracle EBS, federal financial systems, Agile delivery, AWS migration, production support, and O&M environments.* Experience with Linux and mid-tier administration, disaster recovery, vulnerability remediation, audit support, and VMware.**About Us**
