About
What You'll Do
Prepare and maintain all quality assurance documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
Coordinate and support external audits by ensuring documentation, records, and processes are readily available and accurate.
Conduct regular internal audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to food safety and quality standards.
Collaborate with production, quality control, and supply chain teams to address and resolve quality-related issues.
Monitor and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) to reflect current practices and regulatory requirements.
Track and report key quality metrics to management, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Assist in the investigation of customer complaints and non-conformances, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions are implemented.
Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, food safety standards, and best practices to ensure compliance.
Train and support team members on quality assurance processes, documentation requirements, and audit readiness.
What You'll Need
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Assurance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
2+ years of experience in quality assurance, preferably in a food manufacturing or similar regulated environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards, including HACCP, GMP, FSMA, and ISO 22000.
Experience preparing for and supporting external audits (e.g., FDA, USDA, third-party audits).
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in documentation and record-keeping.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and quality management software.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to analyze data and implement effective solutions.
Certification in food safety (e.g., PCQI, SQF Practitioner) is a plus.
