About
Responsibilities
Support enterprise network and identity initiatives including SD-WAN deployment, PKI lifecycle management, and secure authentication service
Monitor, identify, and remediate issues with Agency enterprise network and identity service
Support network connectivity and authentication services on Windows-based system
Support connectivity and secure access on mobile devices (i.e., Apple devices)
Manage the network and identity infrastructure lifecycle at all stages
Create and maintain network documentation (e.g., diagrams, coverage, and design documentation)
Assist with deployment, configuration, and support of SD-WAN, PKI, and secure authentication solution
Perform enterprise network deployments, installations, and upgrade
Requires comfort working on a ladder; ability to lift 40 lbs
Perform firmware/software/security/feature upgrades across network and identity platform
Monitor Agency trouble ticket system and complete assigned network, authentication, and connectivity ticket
Will serve as the Agency’s primary support resource for network and access‑related (authentication) technical issues, troubleshooting and resolving most common/routine problems
Assists Agency staff/contractors in resolving network, authentication, and connectivity‑related problem
Coordinate and assist with testing and validation of network and identity solution
Adhere to State and Agency security and IT policies and standard
Work closely with key stakeholder groups, including Network, Security, and Server Hosting to ensure the appropriate level of engagement and focus is maintained
Assist various IT groups with other tasks as assigned such as with system/network installations and upgrades (i.e., racking equipment)
Create, maintain, and review/improve upon network and identity documentation
Ability to plan, organize, review, and implement associated project milestones to completion
Provides updates to Project Team
Perform other tasks and duties as assigned
Required Skill
Associate’s Degree in a relevant field of work or high school diploma with equivalent work experience
3+ Years of Experience with Enterprise Network Infrastructure and LAN Administration
3+ Years of Experience with Installing, Configuring, and Troubleshooting switches and wireless access points
3+ Years of Experience with SD-WAN, PKI, and secure authentication services
3+ Years of Experience with Troubleshooting network connectivity on Windows and mobile devices
3+ Years of Experience with creating, reading, and maintaining network documentation and diagrams
Any current/previously held network or related certification by an industry leader such as CompTIA, Cisco, or Microsoft. Preferred Cisco Networking Academy or similar bootcamp/training
Additional Skills
Ability to perform on‑site physical network work, including lifting 40 lbs and working on ladder
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel statewide to remote sites with a State OR Personal Vehicle
Strong verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non‑technical staff
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
