About
Intertek, a Nationally Recognized Testing Lab, is actively seeking a Senior Sales Representative in Cortland, New York to join our Electrical team.
What will you be doing? Sell Intertek’s services within assigned verticals, accounts, and territories through effective client research, prospecting, and networking. Work with the Sales Manager to define and develop territory to increase new and existing sales. Spend a minimum of 50% of time outside the office interacting with clients, attending trade shows, and participating in client presentations.
Write and follow up on proposals, specify appropriate standards and pricing. Provide outstanding customer service. Meet all activity targets and log activity in iConnect. Prepare sales reports and forecasts as required.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 3 years of prior successful sales experience
Superior interpersonal, customer service, and presentation skills
B2B or B2C sales experience
Experience working with a CRM tool
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, multi‑tasking environment
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, including local or regional daily travel and occasional overnight travel
Valid unrestricted driver’s license and reliable driving record
Preferred Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a relevant technical field
Sales experience in the medical industry
Compensation & Benefits The base salary range for this position is $70,000 – $110,000. Compensation packages also include a base pay plus monthly bonus eligibility based on sales goals. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability coverage, a 401(k) with company match, generous vacation/sick time (PTO), tuition reimbursement, and more.
