JOB DIMENSIONS Internal Responsibility: Partners with Engineering, Operations, Information Technology, Finance, Member Services, and other departments to identify reporting requirements, develop analytical solutions, establish performance metrics, and support data-driven decision-making. Coordinates cross-functional initiatives involving operational, engineering, reliability, and financial data while supporting organizational objectives related to safety, reliability, member service, operational efficiency, and financial stewardship.
External Responsibility: Collaborates with software vendors, consultants, contractors, industry organizations, utility partners, and other external stakeholders regarding business intelligence solutions, reporting tools, data integrations, and analytical initiatives. Represents the Cooperative professionally while supporting implementation of technologies and best practices that enhance organizational performance.
Principal Accountabilities
Models the TCEC Essential Attributes as a regular pattern of behavior and self-awareness. Inspires others to do the same.
Leads the development, maintenance, and enhancement of business intelligence reporting solutions, dashboards, scorecards, and analytical tools.
Collects, integrates, validates, and analyzes operational, engineering, reliability, financial, and business data from multiple systems and sources.
Develops and maintains leading and lagging performance indicators that support Cooperative objectives related to safety, reliability, member service, and financial performance.
Engages with business stakeholders to identify reporting requirements and translate business needs into actionable analytical solutions.
Leads cross-functional analytics projects and supports implementation of new technologies, processes, procedures, and reporting methodologies.
Develops analytical models, data visualizations, and reporting structures that improve accessibility and understanding of organizational data.
Identifies trends, opportunities, risks, and operational improvements through data analysis and performance monitoring.
Documents data requirements, reporting specifications, business rules, and analytical methodologies.
Supports implementation, maintenance, and optimization of reporting, analytics, and visualization platforms.
Monitors emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to business intelligence, analytics, and reporting.
Maintains data integrity, reporting accuracy, and consistency across systems and reporting platforms.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field required. Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered. Minimum three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in business intelligence, analytics, reporting, engineering systems, operational systems, utility operations, or related analytical functions preferred. Experience within an electric utility, engineering, operations, or infrastructure environment is beneficial.
Operational / Functional Experience Experience gathering, integrating, analyzing, and reporting data from multiple systems and business functions. Experience developing dashboards, scorecards, key performance indicators, data visualizations, and reporting solutions. Experience supporting operational, engineering, reliability, financial, or utility-related analytics initiatives preferred.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. Working knowledge of business intelligence platforms, reporting tools, databases, data visualization techniques, and Microsoft Office products. Ability to manage multiple priorities, lead cross-functional initiatives, and operate effectively in ambiguous situations. Understanding of utility operations, engineering processes, performance measurement, and data governance principles preferred.
