About

We are looking for an experienced Desktop Support Engineer (L1) to provide onsite technical support to end users. The ideal candidate will have 3–4 years of hands-on experience in desktop support along with strong communication skills. The role involves resolving technical issues, supporting IT infrastructure, and delivering high-quality end-user support in a fast-paced environment
Key Responsibilities
Provide onsite L1 support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices
Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows operating systems and business application
Handle user issues related to email, software, and system acces
Perform hardware troubleshooting, upgrades, and replacement
Manage user accounts, password resets, and permissions (Active Directory)
Support IT onboarding/offboarding activities for employees
Troubleshoot basic network issues (LAN/Wi-Fi connectivity, IP conflicts, DNS issues)
Use ticketing systems to log, track, and resolve incidents within SLA timelines
Coordinate with L2/L3 teams for issue escalation and resolution
Maintain asset inventory and documentation
Required Skills & Qualification
3–4 years of experience in Desktop/End-User Support
Strong knowledge of Windows OS (Windows 10/11) and Microsoft Office 365
Hands‑on experience with Active Directory and user management
Familiarity with ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, or similar
Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified, or equivalent
Experience with remote support tools and ITIL processes
Soft Skills
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to work onsite and interact directly with end users
Strong problem‑solving mindset
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Additional Information
This is a fully onsite role
Candidate must be comfortable working in a German‑speaking environment
Immediate joiners preferred (if applicable)
